When you contact the practice, our reception team will listen to your symptoms and relay these to one of our clinical team.
A dentist will contact you with advice on how to care for your mouth whilst you wait for your emergency appointment (if clinically necessary). They will seek to reassure you as best they can.
When you come in for your appointment, your dentist will carry out a thorough examination of your mouth and jaw. A diagnosis will be made, and they may carry out treatment during this appointment.
For moderate to advanced restorative treatment, you may need to come in for a follow-up appointment.
If we have extracted a tooth that cannot be saved with a root canal, we can talk you through your tooth replacement options at a convenient time (we understand that this might be the last thing you want to discuss immediately after having a tooth out!)
